Dispute Policy
Last updated: 2026
1. Scope
This Dispute Policy applies where a disagreement arises between parties during a domain transaction supported by TransferLayer.
2. Neutral role
TransferLayer acts as an independent transaction support provider.
TransferLayer does not act as a court, arbitrator, legal adviser or final authority on domain ownership.
3. Pausing support
Where a dispute arises, TransferLayer may pause transfer coordination until the parties provide clarification or supporting information.
4. Information requests
TransferLayer may request written statements, transaction records, proof of domain control, communication history, payment-provider status or other relevant materials.
5. External processes
Some disputes may need to be handled by a registrar, payment provider, platform, court, professional adviser or other competent authority.
TransferLayer may decline to continue support until the external issue is resolved.
6. No forced completion
TransferLayer is not required to continue a transaction where the parties are in conflict, ownership is unclear, payment status is unclear, or continuing would create unacceptable risk.
7. Final position
TransferLayer may close a case if the dispute cannot be resolved through the information available to TransferLayer.
