Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to the use of the TransferLayer website and any domain transaction support services provided by TransferLayer.
By submitting an enquiry, requesting support or using the service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Nature of the service
TransferLayer provides independent support for private domain name transactions.
Services may include transaction intake, communication support, ownership-control review, transfer coordination, status tracking and completion documentation.
TransferLayer does not act as a bank, payment institution, licensed escrow provider, legal adviser, tax adviser, investment adviser, registrar marketplace or public domain marketplace.
3. No automatic acceptance
Submitting an enquiry does not create an obligation for TransferLayer to accept or support the transaction.
Each case may be reviewed before acceptance. TransferLayer may decline any case at its discretion where there are risk, clarity, compliance, abuse or operational concerns.
4. Client responsibilities
Each party is responsible for providing accurate, complete and current information.
Each party must have authority to buy, sell, transfer or otherwise deal with the relevant domain name.
Clients must comply with applicable laws, contractual duties, registrar requirements, registry requirements, payment-provider terms and any agreed transaction instructions.
5. Ownership and authority
The seller or transferring party must be able to demonstrate practical control of the domain name.
TransferLayer may request evidence of control, account access, registrar status, contact details or other relevant information before coordinating transfer steps.
6. Payment arrangements
TransferLayer does not represent itself as a financial institution.
Where payment handling is required, parties may use a separate payment, settlement or escrow provider subject to that provider’s own terms.
TransferLayer is not responsible for chargebacks, payment delays, payment reversals, blocked payments, exchange-rate movement, banking restrictions or third-party payment-provider decisions.
7. Transfer process and delays
Domain transfers may be affected by registrar procedures, lock periods, technical issues, account verification, incorrect contact details, disputes, security holds or other third-party restrictions.
TransferLayer is not responsible for delays or failures caused by registrars, hosting providers, payment providers, email providers, technical systems or third parties outside TransferLayer’s reasonable control.
8. Refusal, suspension and cancellation
TransferLayer may refuse, suspend or cancel support where information is incomplete, ownership is unclear, a party acts inconsistently, the transaction appears suspicious, the domain appears disputed, or continuation may create legal, operational or reputational risk.
9. Prohibited use
The service must not be used for fraud, impersonation, stolen accounts, phishing, malware, sanctions evasion, deceptive activity, unlawful content, abusive domain use or transactions involving domains that a party is not authorised to transfer.
10. No valuation or investment advice
Any information about a domain name is provided for transaction coordination only.
TransferLayer does not guarantee market value, resale value, traffic, revenue, ranking, intellectual property safety or future usability of any domain.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TransferLayer is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss caused by third parties, or loss caused by inaccurate information supplied by a client.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted by law.
12. Changes
TransferLayer may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page.
